What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a type of orthodontic treatment that uses custom-made clear trays to straighten your teeth without fixed braces. All trays are made with 3-D printing technology to the specifications indicated by the orthodontist for your case.
You are given a series of clear trays that you wear 22 hours a day and change every 2 weeks or as prescribed by your orthodontist. As you progress through the clear aligners, your teeth will continue to move with each tray until your bite and smile are perfected. You will still require regular visits every 4-8 weeks for the orthodontist to monitor your progress and make any needed changes.
Why choose Invisalign?
Invisalign is a great treatment option for both adults and teens who do not want visible braces. The trays are virtually invisible and removable, so you can take them out to eat and to brush and floss.
My dentist offers Invisalign. Why should I go to an orthodontist?
Many dentists do offer Invisalign in their office; however, orthodontists like Dr. Vaccariello have completed 2-3 additional years of specialty training in moving teeth—exactly what Invisalign does! Trust your smile to someone who specializes in straightening teeth and perfecting your bite.
