Dr. Laura Vaccariello (Dr. Vac)


Meet Our Doctor

Dr. Laura Vaccariello (Dr. Vac) was born and grew up in the Charlotte area. After high school, she attended Boston College for her undergraduate training. She then taught high school Biology in Chicago before returning to Boston to complete her dental degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency at Harvard's Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Vaccariello then moved to the Midwest for her Orthodontic residency and Master’s degree at Marquette University School of Dental Medicine in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For her master’s research, she studied the effects of visible and invisible orthodontic appliances on how adults are perceived in the workplace.

Dr. Vaccariello is thrilled to be home with her family and friends in the Carolinas. She and her husband, Matt, live in Fort Mill. They love being a part of the community that they serve. They have a son, Will, and they welcomed their daughter, Remi, this summer. Dr. Vac loves spending time with her family, going on adventures outdoors, trying new and adventurous recipes, traveling, and cheering for the Panthers.

Dr. Vaccariello is a member of the American Board of Orthodontics, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontics, the South Carolina Association of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association. She is the only practicing board-certified orthodontist in Fort Mill. She is also an authorized provider in both Invisalign and Clear Correct. She loves attending continuing education course and is committed to always being up-to-date on the most current orthodontic techniques and research.

Meet Our Team

Nikki is our front office coordinator. She has been with our office since 2017. You will see her smiling face as soon as you walk in the door. She acts as the liaison for our patients and their families. Her goals is to make sure that every patient's overall experience is a great one. Being an adult orthodontic patient herself, Nikki has appreciation for all aspects of the orthodontic experience.

Nikki was born and raised in York, SC. She has 3 beautiful children (Jaylen, Mariah, and Aliyah). When Nikki isn't at work, she is either judging a band or winter guard competition or being a "dance mom." She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also loves the Gamecocks and her Carolina Panthers!

Greer is one of our fabulous clinical assistants. Greer has worked in many different positions in dental offices, but she found her passion in orthodontics. Her bubbly personality and dedication to our patients is evident from the minute that you meet her. Greer's favorite thing to do in the office is to help Dr. Vac put on braces. She also loves seeing the end results of our patients' hard work! Greer just had braces herself so she can answer any questions for you about what to expect.

Greer and her husband, Jarrett, and have 2 boys, Finn and Banks, and 2 dogs.

Carla joined our office in 2020 as the front desk coordinator, but she has been working in dentistry for 14 years. She has worked in several dental specializes, but is happy to have settled back into orthodontics. She is the face that will greet you at the door when you arrive.

Carla was born and raised in York, SC and currently lives in Sharon, SC with her husband, Jimmy, and her 3 dogs. When not at the office, Carla enjoys riding ATVs, baking, crafting, and spending time with family and friends. She also has balanced out the office by loving the Clemson Tigers and the Atlanta Braves.

home_dent_icon1 Samantha has been at our office since 2020. She also works on the clinical team. Samantha has worked in both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, but she found her passion in orthodontics.

Samantha is from Clover, SC. She and her husband, Casey, have a daughter, Lawson, and a new baby boy, Rowen James. She loves spending time with her family and friends. She is also a big Clemson fan.

Theresa is one of our amazing orthodontic technicians. She moved to Fort Mill in 2022 from Elgin, Illinois, but she has been working in dentistry and orthodontics since high school. She loves getting to know our patients and their families and watching them grow. 

Theresa and her husband, Tom, have 3 daughters (Dana, Olivia, and Daphnie).  They also have a fur-baby, Rosie, and a bird, Sweets. In her free time, you can find her hiking the Greenway, watching black and white movies, or singing along to her favorite musicals.
